The old man is snoring...

It's dumping buckets out here, but not in the bad way. This is the good rain that makes things smell nice and takes the humidity level down a notch of two afterwards (hopefully).

And I stand slightly corrected; my old man is puttering around the house cleaning things. Not snoring. Which is odd, because it is usually his nap time right around now.

In other news, I have discovered something else about myself.

I am scared of people.

To be more precise, I am afraid of people that I don't know, especially when I'm by myself. This makes it especially terrifying in situations when I have to meet new people. Suddenly I freeze up or try my best not to make their acquaintance. I had a portion of my dream dedicated to that, actually. I was wandering around in a foreign country with a group of friends, and somehow ended up lost in an unfamiliar high school. I was just a little under hysterical, which is when I start to giggle weirdly.
The dream got a little better from there, fortunately for me.

Anyways.

So, I got a letter from one of the freshman girls that I RA'ed 1st semester. It was really random, but I appreciated it and just recently wrote back. I would have thrived in the way of communication back in the olden days. I love letters. I love receiving them and sending them and keeping them tied in a bundle, which I would do but I don't get them very often and really it's something you do for love letters and such, which I have none of among the letters that I have received.

Aaaaaand...
I cleaned today?

There is a bonfire tonight with Allison's youth group thing, and I'm going to attend to try to cure myself of this people-fearing sickness.

I'm bringing a book just in case.

Coldplay

I have them stuck in my head...
"I came here with a load, but it seems so much lighter now that I've met you."

ANYWHO.

Got back from senior trip last night. Culo and Kristy are still knocked out on the fold out bed, so I'm trying to type quietly (why are space bars so loud?!).

IT WAS ROCKIN AWESOME BOMB-SQUAD WORTHY FUN.

I might remember to say more later, but Allen and Culo and Katie all have pictures so I'll probably put those up...

Wowzers.

So.

At the Stevenson's right now. We had a delicious meal, and now we're all just hanging out.

Spring Concert tomorrow, and finals beginning next week. Not looking forward to that.

After finals is Senior Trip though, and I AM excited about that.

HIS VOICE

So Allison found Echoliers on myspace and they have "His Voice" up and I basically almost had a joyspasm on the spot right there because I LOVE IT. And "It's Me O Lord" is there too! I'm going to listen to it FOREVER.

Moving on.

Just got back today from Virginia Beach with Mother, Sieanna, and Amy.
Amy was funny most of the time and completely intolerable the rest. I feel sorry for Sieanna and Mother, who aren't used to putting up with her silliness. It might have been worse because both she and Sieanna were PMSing, sooooo...

But it was SO MUCH FUN. We got up really early (3am) Friday, got there around 5 or 6 pm, walked around and went to bed. Saturday we walked a ridiculous amount, rented a bicycle cart thing (surrey?), took hilarious pictures with random landmarks, and had sushi for dinner. We tried to lay out some earlier in the day, but then this mist fog thing came and ate everything. We watched a whole bunch of movies, too. Sunday we walked (I know, right?), and we would've laid out but it was really windy and we might've been buried in a dune. Instead we flew a kite and had ice cream. Today we got up early again, and now we're here. Ta-dah!

It was fun...

I'm going to miss the sound of the ocean tonight, I can feel it.

Bellefontaine

So, I'm at Jessica's. bells is performing at her church tomorrow, and we're hitching a ride with them back to MVA.

Sunday, our campus family is going to the North Market. I'm super geeked :D

Other than that...
Nothing much.

Jess has an adorable boxer named Bailey, and she's basically hilarious.

I took out my contacts, so I'm like, crouched up next to the screen now.

Goodnight.

Even In My Death

Okay, so I just found out recently that one my (ex?) schoolmates has published a book titled Even In My Death, and I figured that I would post it here in case anyone who doesn't already know can go and buy it immediately. Which is what I plan on doing as soon as my mother gets home.

IN OTHER NEWS...

Umm...

No news, really.

I'm pretty bored.

So, so-so Southern

Went to Southern Wednesday. Got back today.
So, we got there in the evening, which turned out to be the best part of the trip because we went over to Lance's relative's house. His cousins Evan (senior, I think?) and Andrea (freshman) were there, and they're totally awesome. Andrea & I made supper ("I've made spaghette all of four times in my life, so...") I made the pasta and she made the DELICIOUS hot cocoa, which I will forever pine after. Anywho. We made supper and joked around whilst the boys (Ricky, Allen, Lance, & Evan) played pool in the garage. Then we all came in to warm up and eat, and we sat around and chatted while Ricky played piano. Oh! And Andrea had a song called "Forever in our Hearts," which is the name of a song that Lance composed and she was telling us about it and we were like, "Wow, that's the name of a song that Lance made! It can't be the same one, though..." Then she starts to sing it and we're like "IT IS THE SAME SONG!" And it was on her iPod and everything. Basically amazing.

Thursday we toured campus for the first half of the day. It was funny because our tour guide like, never stopped talking and he was pretty funny. Apparently he's pals with Mr. Morris, so that's pretty cool. Then a few of us went back to the hotel to sleep, then supper with a few of the MVA alumni (Danika, Hiel, & Josh). Then we sort of just wandered campus. Jumped into the foam pit in the acro gym, watched gymnastics people do their awesomeness, dropped in on an AMAZING flute recital that this girl was putting on, watched a basketball dunking contest (which a white boy won, by the way)... Et cetera.

And this morning, we left! I saw Larry there, one of the kids from IA. It was a tad embarassing for me, because he looked familiar but I didn't want to look like an idiot and then he was like "Hey, Genevieve." and I TOTALLY FORGOT HIS NAME. Guh.

So, anywho.

Now I'm here, and basically ready for bed.
