HIS VOICE

So Allison found Echoliers on myspace and they have "His Voice" up and I basically almost had a joyspasm on the spot right there because I LOVE IT. And "It's Me O Lord" is there too! I'm going to listen to it FOREVER.

Moving on.

Just got back today from Virginia Beach with Mother, Sieanna, and Amy.
Amy was funny most of the time and completely intolerable the rest. I feel sorry for Sieanna and Mother, who aren't used to putting up with her silliness. It might have been worse because both she and Sieanna were PMSing, sooooo...

But it was SO MUCH FUN. We got up really early (3am) Friday, got there around 5 or 6 pm, walked around and went to bed. Saturday we walked a ridiculous amount, rented a bicycle cart thing (surrey?), took hilarious pictures with random landmarks, and had sushi for dinner. We tried to lay out some earlier in the day, but then this mist fog thing came and ate everything. We watched a whole bunch of movies, too. Sunday we walked (I know, right?), and we would've laid out but it was really windy and we might've been buried in a dune. Instead we flew a kite and had ice cream. Today we got up early again, and now we're here. Ta-dah!

It was fun...

I'm going to miss the sound of the ocean tonight, I can feel it.

Bellefontaine

So, I'm at Jessica's. bells is performing at her church tomorrow, and we're hitching a ride with them back to MVA.

Sunday, our campus family is going to the North Market. I'm super geeked :D

Other than that...
Nothing much.

Jess has an adorable boxer named Bailey, and she's basically hilarious.

I took out my contacts, so I'm like, crouched up next to the screen now.

Goodnight.

Even In My Death

Okay, so I just found out recently that one my (ex?) schoolmates has published a book titled Even In My Death, and I figured that I would post it here in case anyone who doesn't already know can go and buy it immediately. Which is what I plan on doing as soon as my mother gets home.

IN OTHER NEWS...

Umm...

No news, really.

I'm pretty bored.

So, so-so Southern

Went to Southern Wednesday. Got back today.
So, we got there in the evening, which turned out to be the best part of the trip because we went over to Lance's relative's house. His cousins Evan (senior, I think?) and Andrea (freshman) were there, and they're totally awesome. Andrea & I made supper ("I've made spaghette all of four times in my life, so...") I made the pasta and she made the DELICIOUS hot cocoa, which I will forever pine after. Anywho. We made supper and joked around whilst the boys (Ricky, Allen, Lance, & Evan) played pool in the garage. Then we all came in to warm up and eat, and we sat around and chatted while Ricky played piano. Oh! And Andrea had a song called "Forever in our Hearts," which is the name of a song that Lance composed and she was telling us about it and we were like, "Wow, that's the name of a song that Lance made! It can't be the same one, though..." Then she starts to sing it and we're like "IT IS THE SAME SONG!" And it was on her iPod and everything. Basically amazing.

Thursday we toured campus for the first half of the day. It was funny because our tour guide like, never stopped talking and he was pretty funny. Apparently he's pals with Mr. Morris, so that's pretty cool. Then a few of us went back to the hotel to sleep, then supper with a few of the MVA alumni (Danika, Hiel, & Josh). Then we sort of just wandered campus. Jumped into the foam pit in the acro gym, watched gymnastics people do their awesomeness, dropped in on an AMAZING flute recital that this girl was putting on, watched a basketball dunking contest (which a white boy won, by the way)... Et cetera.

And this morning, we left! I saw Larry there, one of the kids from IA. It was a tad embarassing for me, because he looked familiar but I didn't want to look like an idiot and then he was like "Hey, Genevieve." and I TOTALLY FORGOT HIS NAME. Guh.

So, anywho.

Now I'm here, and basically ready for bed.

Sing Noel

So I'm listening to the 2001 Echoliers Christmas CD.

I love Christmas songs, and especially God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and they did an awesome version of that so I've been listening to it like, nonstop. Fantastic.

SO, MY BIRTHDAY WAS MARVELOUS.

Not in any big, earth shattering, surprise party part of way, but all the little things added up and I really liked it. Like Katie Roddy put construction paper strips across my doorway that said, "Happy 18th Birthday my fellow Cyantist" so that I nearly walked into when I got up for breakfast. PS- A "Cyantist" is a word we made up for someone who studies Cyan, which is blue :D

Then everyone wished my happy birthday and it was just fun.

And Kristy ordered me pizza and wrote "Happy !8th B-day Gen" in cookie dough (which is my weakness) and ordered us pizza.

And Ayana let me use her chapstick :D

Anywho.

So, all afternoon classes were canceled today.

It's been snowing non-stop all day, and it's a Level 1 snow emergency right now. I'm praying for a Level 2, maybe Level 3 :D

I just don't want to go to school tomorrow, but Thiursdays are my easy days so it wouldn't really bother me if we did have school.

IT JUST TICKS ME OFF THAT WE CAN'T GO SLEDDING BEHIND THE CAFETERIA WITHOUT SUPERVISION.
LIKE, FOR SERIOUS, MVA?

Because that's totally what I've been doing my three previous years, in addition to having boys in the mix, and we totally didn't get hurt or have sex.

It just annoys me that we've apparently had so many rules since my freshman year, but suddenly they're actually using them and it's at the most ridiculous times and I'm just thinking, "And you WONDER why our school population is shrinking?"

It's because My entire three years here, I've loved MVA. This place is my home.
And suddenly it's a giant prison, and I just can't say that if I wasn't graduating or had the chance to come back that I would.
Because I WOULDN'T.

GAH.

FINAL COUNTDOWN

I have that song stuck in my head now.

So, My clock says 11:24 but I'm pretty sure it's fast. the point is that I have very few minutes until it's officially my birthday. I plan on being asleep by then, so I'll make this brief.

I HATE BEING A WOMAN AND ALL THAT IT ENTAILS.
Okay, so I spoke a little harshly.
But why don't MEN have to PMS?

Maybe it's because I've started taking my Focalin again (which is like Adderal minus the sudden death side effect), plus the whole PMS thing just makes it worse, but I've been having these TERRIBLE mood swings. Like, what's the name of that one roller coaster where you drop ridiculously fast? I'm like that, personified, right now.

Other than that, life is grand :D

So I've decided that men who are musically inclined are way more attractive to me than men who like to speed. I am terrified by high miles per hour. Motorcycles are ok until you go past 50. Cars are fine until you go past the speed limit.
Both of those- especially on turns.

Anywho.

The point is, that I hate feeling feminine because I have all of these ridiculously illogical feelings that make absolutely no sense. Like, "I'm not over Mark."
Ok, you think he's a womanizer, he doesn't talk to you, he totally just left you in the dust, and yet you totally stop thinking about ANY of that when you see him.
I am truly an idiot.

AND THEN I GO AND GET UPSET ABOUT IT.

Like, for real, Genevieve?
You're just bringing this upon yourself.

Stupid boys.
Stupid hormones.
Stupid me.

:D

AWESOME COVERED AWESOME WITH AWESOME FILLING

To put a spin on Scrubs...

Anywho.

Katie's house was super fun. Kristy, Jeff, Alex, and a new Alex (Craft) were there as well.
There was an indoor pool, a trampoline, a hot tub, and lots of delicious home cooked meals.
We watched movies, played games, talked, swam, hiked, ate, and napped (minus the time when Alex Craft jumped on Kristy and I and woke us up).

So, that was mostly fun with a bit of relaxation and exercise thrown in.

I forgot to mention that I got a camera for Christmas.

It is the joy of my life, behind God and food.

It's a Canon XSI, I think.

I ♥ heart ♥ it.

So, me.

Not campus bound.

Birthday next Tuesday (the 13th).

DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.
